Mishion imposhible shtaring thom chrwesh (clockwork)

2)how the characters are described
Gretl: Gretl is described as a "mother" you could say because she saves and takes care of little prince florian.
Karl: he is described young and pleasant but throughout the story he is greedy

Gretl: Gretl thinks about caring for other people.
Karl:Karl helps good people and always looks at the positive side of himself but he thinks of the negative things for others .

How they act

Gretl: Gretl acts like the hero and she is kind to others and doesn't think of herself all the time she thinks of the positive side of people.
Karl: Karl acts selfish in the story because he only cares for himself and he thinks of the negative side of things for others.
Fritz:Fritz acts worried because he is peculiar and he doesn't have the same thoughts as anyone else.
How they change

Gretl: she changes from a unsure or nervous/inconspicuous character and you don't know if she is going to be the main character and then she becomes confident.
Karl:Karl starts as a nice kind of person then throughout the story he becomes more greedy.

3. Pg. 16 What does the author mean by an artistic temperament?
How does he feel about the idea? Why?:
I think it could be a complement, however it maters how he said it because it could be a positive thing or a negative thing but it means someone who thinks negatively so it could be a good thing in ways but it's mostly about someone fussing about it (negative).

4. Pg. 49 Princess Mariposa stood at the palace window, she heard the chiming of the cathedral clock, and said “I wish I had a child as sound as a bell and as true as a clock”, and when she had said those words she felt her heart lift.  Can you explain how this uses simile and metaphor:
Simile: as sound as a bell because it used as
Metaphor: her heart lift because her heart can't lift

5. The author uses clock terms and references throughout the story.
Find 5 from each part of the book (at least a sentence each, none from the same page please)
Describe what kind of language use each is.

1) "tick tock, tick tock! bit by bit they move, and tick us steadily in towards the grave" this shows that they are going more towards the grave in a clock term(as in they write it about a clock but).this shows onomatopoeia
2)i command you to make me another child of clockwork that will not die.this represents that how life is connected to a clock and how a body can be worked by a clock.
3)I will come first - and you wind up the future like clockwork. This shows that they are referring a clock to the future how you would wind it up like the hands in a clock.
4)the courtyard, with the clockwork ticking in his ribs. this shows that a human body can be related to a clock, this sentence shows that ribs and making his scared or afraid in my opinion.
