Wrap it up

The pardoners tale

A morality tale is something that teaches you a lesson about life or death or something you should or shouldn't do.the pardoners tale is a morality tale. The pardoners tale teaches you a lesson about death. In the story the moral is that if you go looking for death, don't be surprised if you find him.If you look at this carefully you can see that this is a metephor because it says "him" and they are referring a person to be a thing. They (Tom dick and Harry)went looking for death because Ambrosius died and people said that death killed Ambrosius. They asked lots of people and came to a old man who told them.they found death because of themselfs being too greedy and they wanted revenge .This proves that the Pardoners tale is a morality tale.

Wife of bath

Folk tales seek to explain things about life, nature, or the human condition. Also folk tales are usually
in a common place (ordinary world) and have normal people. They may include some magical elements but over all the story is realistic. The Wife of Bath is a folk tale however in this there don't seem to be many magical elements other than the old woman turning into the beautiful girl. In the story it is set in a ordinary world called Camelot where everything is ordinary and normal. The wife of baths take also includes common people such as sir codsbrain who is a low ranking knight and a normal person. There is also the common person Amanda who Sir Codsbrain is flirting with. Overall because of its features this is a folk tale because it's realistic, set in ordinary world and it has peasants.

The Nuns priest

Fable's have talking animals also has moral ending that teach you something about life or death or something that you should or shouldn't do,the animals are almost human like because they have a big role in the story.the Nuns preist is a fable because it has talking animals and a moral ending. For example it has talking animals such as chanticleer and sir Russell fox like in the story chanticleer says eat me up! Eat me up! No chance, you stupid fox I am  chanticleer, the greatest singing cock, the cleverest singing cock. And sir Russell fox says shucks! I'd better go raid some dustbins. This also has a moral that you should be on your guard against flatters and all those who open their mouths when they should keep them shut!. In this chanticleer is flattered because the fox says "Don't run away. I'm an opra fan! I've come to listen to your beautiful voice." This shows that chanticleer is being flattered easily and wants to show his "beautiful voice" to the fox

The Knights tale

A chivalric romance story has chivalric Knights and romance. The Knights tale is a chivalric romance. The Knights tale is a chivalric romance because it has two Knights who fight against each other just for a woman called Emily just for love (because the love her) the two Knights are called Theseus  and Palamon and they both want to marry (or have Emily as a wife) for example one of the Knights says "w'ell have a a proper joust on Saturday!.....The winner can marry Emily straight away!" And the other says"And now for the love of Emily we'll fight. This shows romance from the two Knights and how they love Emily and that they will fight over Emily because of it.Overall this proves that the Knights tale is a chivalric romance because it has chivalric Knights and romance.

Climax: climax would be when he tells the answer and you don't know if she (the old lady) was right or wrong and if it's wrong he will die and if he is right he will stay alive.
Outcomes:
Sir codsbrain and the old women are happy,Amanda is free from flirters and King Arthur and Queen Guinivere are joyous together as a couple

Outcomes:

The pardoners tale character:
Dick:
Dick is a archetype because he has more than 3 characteristics for example:
Greedy, because he wants more and more gold.mischiviouse because they are peeing out of the temple. Yobo ( Someone who is badly behaved) because like they chase the landlords daughter and pee out of the church stable

The wife of bath character.
Queen Guinivere:
Queen Guinivere is a catalyst (someone who who changes the story) because she changes the story by making sir codsbrain go on a quest to find out what women most desire ( in general),and this would have never of happend if only she didn't set that task.

Characters

Hero/protagonist:                             Man vs man.                 Man vs technology

Mishion imposhible shtaring thom chrwesh (clockwork)

2)how the characters are described
Gretl: Gretl is described as a "mother" you could say because she saves and takes care of little prince florian.
Karl: he is described young and pleasant but throughout the story he is greedy
Fritz: scared and confused and a bit curious because he doesn't know what he is doing to the story.
How they think

Gretl: Gretl thinks about caring for other people.
Karl:Karl helps good people and always looks at the positive side of himself but he thinks of the negative things for others .
Fritz: he is afraid because he doesn't know what he has started and he doesn't know if he wants to finish the story.
How they act

Gretl: Gretl acts like the hero and she is kind to others and doesn't think of herself all the time she thinks of the positive side of people.
Karl: Karl acts selfish in the story because he only cares for himself and he thinks of the negative side of things for others.
Fritz:Fritz acts worried because he is peculiar and he doesn't have the same thoughts as anyone else.
How they change

Gretl: she changes from a unsure or nervous/inconspicuous character and you don't know if she is going to be the main character and then she becomes confident.
Karl:Karl starts as a nice kind of person then throughout the story he becomes more greedy.

3. Pg. 16 What does the author mean by an artistic temperament?
How does he feel about the idea? Why?:
I think it could be a complement, however it maters how he said it because it could be a positive thing or a negative thing but it means someone who thinks negatively so it could be a good thing in ways but it's mostly about someone fussing about it (negative).

4. Pg. 49 Princess Mariposa stood at the palace window, she heard the chiming of the cathedral clock, and said “I wish I had a child as sound as a bell and as true as a clock”, and when she had said those words she felt her heart lift.  Can you explain how this uses simile and metaphor:
Simile: as sound as a bell because it used as
Metaphor: her heart lift because her heart can't lift

5. The author uses clock terms and references throughout the story.
Find 5 from each part of the book (at least a sentence each, none from the same page please)
Describe what kind of language use each is.

1) "tick tock, tick tock! bit by bit they move, and tick us steadily in towards the grave" this shows that they are going more towards the grave in a clock term(as in they write it about a clock but).this shows onomatopoeia
2)i command you to make me another child of clockwork that will not die.this represents that how life is connected to a clock and how a body can be worked by a clock.
3)I will come first - and you wind up the future like clockwork. This shows that they are referring a clock to the future how you would wind it up like the hands in a clock.
4)the courtyard, with the clockwork ticking in his ribs. this shows that a human body can be related to a clock, this sentence shows that ribs and making his scared or afraid in my opinion.
